Product Details

WoolAid nasal strips are drug free, external nasal dilators made with medical grade merino wool. They work mechanically by gently lifting the sides of the nose to open the nasal passages, helping you breathe more easily through your nose. This can provide temporary relief from nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies or a deviated septum, and may help reduce snoring caused by nighttime nasal congestion. WoolAid’s merino wool construction breathes with your skin throughout the night, managing moisture and temperature so the strip stays comfortable and your skin stays irritation free. 20 Pack.

WHAT NASAL STRIPS DO

Nasal strips are flexible bands with a spring like structure. When placed across the bridge of the nose, the bands attempt to straighten back to their original shape, which gently lifts the sides of the nostrils open. This widens the nasal passages and reduces airflow resistance, making it easier to breathe through the nose. Nasal strips are suitable for use during sleep, exercise or any time you want to improve nasal airflow.

How To Apply

Wash and dry your nose thoroughly. Oils, moisturisers, sunscreen and makeup will weaken the adhesive and prevent the strip from sticking properly. This step is important.

  • Remove the protective liner from the back of the strip.
  • Position the strip across the bridge of your nose, centred along the width. The tabs on each end should sit just above the point where your nostrils flare out. Do not place the strip too high up the bony bridge or too low on the tip of the nose. The correct position is right in the middle, across the softer part of the nose where you feel the most benefit when you gently pull your nostrils open with your fingers.
  • Press down on the centre of the strip first, then smooth each end down firmly onto the sides of the nose. Rub gently to secure.
  • Breathe in through your nose. You should feel an immediate improvement in airflow.
How To Remove

Wash your face with warm water for about 10 seconds to loosen the adhesive. Then gently lift each end of the strip and slowly peel it away from the skin. Do not rip the strip off quickly. Taking your time with removal will prevent skin irritation. Wash face and nose after use to ensure no residue.

Important Information

WoolAid nasal strips are drug free and can be used alongside medications. They provide temporary, symptomatic relief only and do not treat the underlying cause of nasal congestion. Nasal strips are not intended to treat sleep apnoea. If you suspect your snoring is a symptom of a more serious condition such as obstructive sleep apnoea, please consult your doctor. If you experience persistent skin irritation, discontinue use.

Breathable

Merino absorbs up to 35% of its weight in moisture before feeling wet, then releases it. No trapped heat. No clammy buildup. The skin underneath stays dry and comfortable.

Comfortable

At 17–19 microns, our superfine merino is one-third the diameter of a human hair. It flexes on contact instead of prickling. Research confirms it's fibre diameter that determines comfort, not fibre type. This is finer than most performance base layers.

Odour Resistant

Independent testing shows merino generates significantly less odour than cotton, polyester and acrylic. It wicks moisture away from skin, starving bacteria of the damp conditions they need.

How to use your WoolAid Nasal Strips

Step One

Wash and dry your face. The adhesive will not hold properly on oily, moisturised or damp skin.

Step Two

Open the nasal strip wrapper and peel back the protective liners from the adhesive strips on each side.

Step Three

Position the strip across the bridge of your nose, centred along the width. The tabs on each end should sit just above the point where your nostrils flare out.

Step Four

Press down on the centre of the strip first, then smooth each end down firmly onto the sides of the nose. Rub gently to secure.
